Columbus broke out the robes for the State tournament and continued the strong wrestling tradition as the Discoverers finished 8th as a team and had 4 medalists. Kobe Paczosa-Hall (113lbs) and Colton Wolfe  (182lbs) made it to Saturday’s finals and both lost 1 point matches to finish in 2nd place.  Christian Stutzman rebounded from a tough semifinal loss and placed 4th at 160lbs. Carter Woehlk finished 5th at 120lbs. Two wrestlers made it to the consolation semifinals, narrowly missing out on a state medal and they were Kyle Schulz (170lbs) and Trevor Phillips (152lbs).  Also going 1-2 were Zach Baldwin (138lbs) Tristan Marking (145lbs), Wyatt Olcott (195lbs), and Cy Marshall (220lbs).  The team will return 8 State Qualifiers next season so the future is bright!
